Technical Description:

Louise Brockman Marbled endleaves, raised red silk doublures, full black goatskin with onlaid goatskin lines, gold tooling and lettering, raised goatskin onlays mass tooled in two shades of gold leaf and palladium with specially made finishing tool, the flap is held closed by two magnets set into the boards.

Design:

​

The flowing lines in the design depict leaf shapes as well as rolling countryside/hills. The specially made finishing tool represents a flower and by using different shades of gold and palladium, along with a variety of coloured onlays, references the very colourful and diverse images within the book.  The design being divided into five compartments, each with a gold frame around, references the page layouts within the book.
