Details about the binding by Don Glaister:

Winter's Tale inside spine det.jpg

Winter’s Tale is bound in green goat skin with feathered onlays of calf, lizard, toad and snake skin, with variously sized hand tooled gold dots. The design continues onto the inside of the spine piece. The beginning and end pages of the accordion book are attached to the three piece case, allowing for the book to be gently held in place while being paged through, yet providing a structure for viewing in a looser form.

The volume is housed in a black goatskin and paper covered clamshell box with onlays of snake, lizard and calf skin.

The binding design is drawn from the book’s contents, being an interpretation of floral forms, colors and spirit.
